Buy several "eggs" of silly putty. I use it to mask texture, sprigs, etc. that I want to glaze after dipping/pouring glaze on rest of pot. Silly putty is great just push it around covering raised bits or appliques, or whatever on bisque, dip pot or pour glaze on pot, then just remove the silly putty and wash off glaze and use again, over and over. I like the way you can move it pushing it over complicated bits that you want to glaze separately. Easier than latex mask.
