    Default making bats

    Hi,

I have a question pertaining to bats. I am planning on making my own bats and I was wondering what are the plastic inserts on the bottom of the bats are called? They are used to go over the bolt heads on the wheel, to keep the bat in place on the wheel. Also does anyone know where I can get them?

    TIA

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

I am planning on using US1 casting plaster. I am going to make a few and was wondering where I can get them as well.

    TIA

A great place to buy my favorite plaster bats is from the ceramic shop here.

The inserts in the plaster are called rubber grommets?

There are lots of tutorials on line on how to make them

I don't know if this is too helpful, but a really great place to get plaster and other materials is hardware supply companies that specialize in concrete manufacturing and construction. There is a place by my studio and they sell plaster much cheaper then allot of the ceramic suppliers in town.
