    Default Maui Red

FEDERIGHI Terra Sigillata Recipes Cone 010 – 02

    Light Red Terra Sigillata
    800 grams hot water
    200 grams OM4 ball clay
    20 grams Red Iron Oxide
    10 grams Calgone*

I never came across Maui red but this is a very nice intense oxide red sig.

    Default Calgone

CALGONE is sodium hexametaphosphate and is a deflocculant. No it does not need to be ball milled.

Calgone is sodium hexametaphosphate and is a deflocculant. You should be able to get it from a supplier of chemicals.
