This site is a goldmine of information to potter "wannabees" like myself. I've had a fascination with the ceramic process and in particular, the effects of heat on glaze chemicals and clays. I'm a CIO in information Tech however I am deeply interested in glazes - sooooo bought a small cone 10 kiln with "auto pilot" technology and am having a ball creating cone 6 - 10 glaze tests. Unfortunately I'll never have the ability to become a professional Studio Potter as that requires real talent, but I spend like a drunken sailor on shore leave when I find an arts fair and the ceramists and professional studio potters have wares of great appeal and beauty. Prefer functional. Three Cheers for Claystation and its founder.
