I started making work in colored paperporcelain.
---> (Tinne Debruijne / portfolio velvet)
The colored porcelain is readymade and I bought in the States. I mix my own colors and get a beautiful palette.
The porcelain is fired to 1200 °C, Cone 6, but because I add paper (2.5%) I lower the melting point. But the colors are beautiful on this high t°.
Can anyone give me some information of additives to increase the melting point who does NOT affect the color?
I searched and found on the Internet:
- Lithium Carbonate Li2Co3
- Flint, Silica, Silicon Dioxide SiO2
- Quartz
- feldspar
- Mullite
I found no information about the quantities and the possible effects on the color.
Thanks,
tinne
