Hi. my name is Bonnie Staffel, a potter whose career spans 60 years. Still working some but my first love is still clay.

I am enjoying handbuilding now with smoke and pit firing. However, I still make sculptural work on the wheel as well as functional pottery. I have also created two videos, one on beginning wheel work and the second is about throwing with coils and slabs. This is the method I use to throw the very large tall pots shown on the website.
