Hello there, I have burnished my pot through a number of stages - first when leather hard, then I applied a slip with a small amount of copper oxide in it (1 teaspoon to 1/2 cup of slip) and burnished it again, then waited till it was bone dry and burnished it again. It has now come out of the kiln, fired to around 900C, and while the results are satisfactory, the green is somewhat vague (obviously I need to add more oxide to the slip), but I wanted to know is if anyone can advise on a polish (not beeswax though) that I can apply to the finished product to bring out the shine and the enhance the colour? Thanks, Mellissa.
