Default rewiring kiln from 3 phase to single phase

Recently gave up my commercial building and moved my kiln to my home.
Kiln is a 3 phase and I only have single phase service at home.
Can I rewire it myself and where do I find the instructions for that.
I called the manufacturer and they are getting me prices on replacing the whole electric box, elements and cord.
I am just looking to do it cheaper, if not I will probably need to sell it and rebuy a single phase, which I would rather not do.
If anyone has any feedback I would appreciate it.
    Thanks Heather

I would not recomend doing it yourself but its not impossible. there are two ways to approach it and both would be determined on the voltage requirements more than the phasing. If the kiln is three phase 240v volt you could use a phase inverter to turn the household current into three phase. The phase inverter would be rated by the amperage draw of the kiln and likely run in the neighborhood of three to four hundred dollars (guestimate).

If the kiln is 480volt it would require a step-up transformer AND phase inverter. Now yer talking more money than replacing the whole box, cord and elements. Lets not go there if we dont have to.

A third option would require having the schematic of the kilns controls and elements but at that point yer safer going with what the manufacturer is going to provide just for liability sake alone.

    Hope this helps Heather.
